A former pastor in the Twin Cities and professor at North Central University, he lives to help others encounter life. He is passionately pursuing the call on his life to help people become who God created them to be.

Kristin Johnson Recharge conference children's youth ministry trainingSince 1996 Kristin Johnson has had the privilege of serving the Lord in various capacities, from a Young Life Leader, to Worship Leader, to a Youth and Family Ministry Director. In May 2004 she graduated from Luther Seminary with a M.A. in Youth and Family Ministry, and became a Deacon in the ELCA.  Since graduating she’s had the privilege of serving families in various denominations from Lutheran to Presbyterian to Methodist. Kristin currently serves as the Director of Youth and Familiy Ministry in two congregations, St. Petri Lutheran and Bergen Lutheran, in Story City and Roland, IA. When not at church, you can find her either playing with her girls, watching Hawaii 5-0 or sleeping–she loves a good nap.

A key part of Recharge is the wide variety of workshops available.  Recharge Conference youth ministry children's ministry trainingYou will be equipped, inspired and energized by these relevant, practical workshops. Experienced ministry leaders share useful and motivational ideas to help you and your team be ready for the challenges of leadership and working with kids.  Some workshops are designed for a specific area of ministry while others will be applicable whether you work with children, youth or families.

You have the opportunity to attend 3 workshops during this children’s and youth ministry conference. Options will be posted this fall.

We bring in some of the best national and local organizations who offer useful and effective tools for you and your ministry. We give you time to personally connect with each one so you can take advantage of their expertise and resources. RECHARGE was started by ministry workers for ministry workers… and is still led and run by local ministry workers. Youth Leadership partners with local leaders from a wide variety of academic, local churches, and denominational organizations. It is intentionally multi-denominational and although Youth Leadership facilitates this children’s and youth ministry conference, Recharge would not happen without each team’s leadership.
